Visalia Unified School District

 

Visalia Unified School District, established in 1855, is the oldest school district in Tulare County. The district consists of 21 elementary schools, a newcomer language school, four middle schools, three high schools, a continuation high school, and adult school, 2 charter schools and a school that serves orthopedic handicapped students.

 

In 2004 the overall API score for Visalia Unified was 664, which showed an 11 point increase from the previous year and exceeds the average API for Tulare County.

The Visalia Center is located right off of the 198 Freeway and Akers St. (south of 198), in Visalia, and is a direct extension of the Fresno Pacific University’s main campus. The center offers accelerated bachelor’s degree completion programs as well as master’s degrees and credential programs. All courses are offered in the evening and are taught by experienced faculty.
