Visalia Unified School District
Visalia Unified School District, established in 1855, is the oldest school district in Tulare County. The district consists of 21 elementary schools, a newcomer language school, four middle schools, three high schools, a continuation high school, and adult school, 2 charter schools and a school that serves orthopedic handicapped students.
In 2004 the overall API score for Visalia Unified was 664, which showed an 11 point increase from the previous year and exceeds the average API for Tulare County.
