Members can obtain complete direct mailing information of over 1,000 businesses, allowing you to develop a data base of business prospects. This list is available on disk only. Member Price is $250/Non Members $300.
Business Referral Service
Each year over 15,000 referrals of Chamber business members are given to potential customers in response to inquiries from tourists, students and relocations. Members are always referred to these inquiries and may also seek out these prospective customers by providing a self addressed stamped envelope and the chamber will forward them a copy of the inquiry register log. An inexpensive way to increase your potential customer base.
Tip Sheets
Each month a list of at least 100 new businesses is made available by the Chamber to its members. This "prospect list" allows only Chamber members the opportunity to market their goods and services to a large potential market.
Promotional Displays
Only members can display their cards and promotional materials in the Chamber office - exposure to thousands yearly.
Tax Deductibility
Membership in the Chamber is 85% deductible as a necessary business expense.
Calendar
The Chamber maintains a calendar of community events. Members only may advertise on this widely distributed calendar that is also available on the Internet.
Certificate of Origin
The Chamber can prepare these necessary forms for those who ship their goods and products outside of the United States. Members $10/Nonmembers $20.
Resource Center
Information resources are available at the Chamber - examples include community demographics, local and area phone directories, community calendar, a list of clubs and organizations, local and state maps, major employers and industrial directory, Business Start Up Kits and contact information for all levels of government officials.
Advocate for Business
The Chamber is the voice of the business community in local, county, and state issues representing the business community in problem solving, promoting economic development, etc. It has been the advisor to the city on many community issues and projects, receiving nationwide recognition for excellence by the United States Chamber of Commerce for effective organization and leadership of community business interests. Goals for the remainder for the year include:
- To provide business resources and support services to entrepreneurs and existing small business, through small business orientation, outreach and mentoring.
- Develop a policy of Chamber involvement in quality growth for the City of Visalia.
- Explore and pursue the establishment of a CSU campus in Visalia in Kings/Tulare County by 2008. The curriculum would focus on "biotech" and "food prep".
