The Visalia Chamber of Commerce is a leadership organization whose mission is to represent the interests of the business community, create and promote a favorable climate for balanced economic development, and provide a forum for effective communication and advocacy of issues affecting the business community in Visalia, California.

 

Membership in the Visalia Chamber of Commerce facilitates inclusion in the local business community, thereby building a strong foundation upon which businesses can prosper.

 

Membership provides a number of opportunities which include meeting other area business people, expanded knowledge of various business topics, becoming involved in local issues that impact businesses and having a voice in matters critical to the small business community.

Open to Chamber members only, the Connection Club meets weekly to exchange valuable business leads, referrals, introductions and marketing ideas.

On the third Wednesday of each month, from 5:00 PM - 7:30 PM, a member business hosts a social and networking event at their location. Visalia Chamber of Commerce Newsletter

Our monthly newsletter provides pertinent Chamber, community, business and marketing news that you can use. Committees/Business Enterprises

 

Education

The Chamber works closely with the Tulare County Office of Education, the Visalia Unified School District and a team of nearly 200 volunteers to bring the knowledge of the business world into the classroom. Students are exposed to critical components of success in the working world by targeted lessons on résumé creation, dressing for success, and interviewing techniques, just to mention a few.

 

Legislative Affairs

The Visalia Chamber of Commerce is deeply committed to representing the best interests of our members in the political arena.  The Government Affairs Committee (GAC) works on your behalf to represent the best interests of business on the local, state and federal level.  Check our advocacy page for more information on this program and how you can get involved.

 

Ribbon Cutting

Upon your opening a new location, and at your invitation, we come to your business with ribbon and ceremonial scissors for a photo opportunity.  The event is published free of charge in the Visalia Chamber of Commerce Newsletter.

Every year we honor our Small, Medium, and Large Businesses, Agriculture Business of the Year, and Man and Woman of the Year. We routinely shower our volunteers with praise and publicity. We nominate Chamber businesses for other awards whenever such opportunities present themselves.
